The below curriculum is based on our instructors’ training in Israeli Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Greco-Roman Wrestling, and various other combatives.
Primary Focuses of our Self Defense training:
In addition to the topics listed below, we incorporate functional fitness training to help build cardio/muscular endurance related to surviving street attacks. This is achieved through calisthenics, cardio boxing, cardio kickboxing, and grappling drills. We find this is an excellent way to keep training fun, while building repetition for proper body mechanics in self defense training.
-Legal and moral aspects surrounding self defense/use-of-force principles.
-Adopting a survival mindset (situational awareness, risk management, threat management, crisis management).
-Striking and grappling.
-Understanding vital targets (eyes, throat, groin) and knock out points.
-Using self defense weapons and improvised weapons.
-Firearms training (for concealed carry and home defense).
-Emergency medicine (Taught by Robert Royl - Former firefighter, paramedic, and U.S. Marshal).
-Defending against common street attacks.
-Defending against grabs and holds used in abductions.
-Weapon defense, both preventative and reactive, including weapon disarms.
- Anti-kidnapping and Counter-Custody for traveling internationally or in non-permissible environments.
